Description: Using Scratch, campers learn to think creatively, reason logically, and code their own stories and games. From designing a superhero maze to animating a talking pet, students will learn loops, events, and variables in a visual coding platform that makes programming fun and accessible for everyone.Â
This is a 4 day summer camp for rising 4th and 5th graders taught by Dr. Wes Fryer in Charlotte, North Carolina, June 29 to July 3, 2026. More information (including registration) is available. Since I (Dr. Fryer) have an official TEACHER ACCOUNT with Scratch, I'll provide you with your Scratch login for camp. If you want to create YOUR OWN SCRATCH ACCOUNT you can, but you'll need to get your parents' help. This page has more details.
We'll use the TUTORIALS included the Scratch CREATE interface, as well as official Scratch Starter Projects in our camp.
