In the Chrome web browser on a laptop/desktop computer, visit scratchaddons.com.
Install the "Scratch Addons" Chrome extension.
Click the PUZZLE PIECE and click the PIN to show the extension in your browser bar.
Click the ADD ONS tab and search for GAME PAD, enable it.
On a Scratch game, look for the GAME PAD icon and click it to configure your controller as desired.
Scratch Jr. and PBS Scratch Jr. are powerful tablet programs for coding with younger students. A few years ago I created some Scratch Junior tutorials for my wife, who loves using Scratch Junior with younger elementary students.
